Passcomm Rail Drop Cables
Description
4, 8 and 12 Fibre singlemode cables, designed for trackside use specifically in ‘drop’ applications where the traditional 24F FTN cable is either physically too big or creates unnecessary cable management issues, such as:
- Requirement to manage all unused fibres, as per Network Rail standard
- Transportation weight
- Bend radius of the cable and fibre

Features
- A gel filled central loose tube contains 4x, 8x or 12x bend insensitive (G657A1+)* optical fibres
- Single jacketed = easy to manage and prepare
- Layer of rodent resistant E-glass yarn strength members
- Corrugated Steel Tape Armour
- LLDPe sheath
- 96kg per kilometre compared with 280kg for the FTN 24F cable
- G657A1+ - bend insensitive fibre which is backward compatible with the standard G652D fibre used in the FTN cables.
