Fibre optic products provide the high-capacity, reliable connections required across modern telecommunications and critical-infrastructure networks. Hybrid Connectivity supplies rail drop cables, splice closures, optical distribution frames, wall boxes, pre-terminated cassettes, fan-out assemblies, launch lead kits and bespoke connectivity enclosures from Passcomm, AFL and CommScope.
These products support fibre installation, termination, distribution, testing and protection across rail, underground transport, data centres, FTTH networks, utilities and offshore infrastructure. Drop cables and fan-out assemblies carry fibre to individual connection points, while BUDI units, GCO2 closures, ODFs and cassettes organise and protect connections. Launch lead kits support fibre testing and fault identification.
Splice products require fibres to be joined on site, providing flexibility for project-specific cable routes and configurations. Connectorised products provide accessible ports for patching, while pre-terminated plug-and-play products arrive with factory-fitted connections to reduce installation time and specialist work on site.
Yes. Hybrid Connectivity supplies selected PADS-approved products for Network Rail applications. Approval is specific to the product and configuration, so the required PADS status should always be checked against the project specification before ordering.
Selection depends on the fibre count, cable type, connector format, splice or plug-and-play approach, mounting arrangement and installation environment. Capacity, future expansion, access for maintenance and applicable rail, transport or infrastructure standards should also be considered. Hybrid Connectivity can help configure a suitable solution.
Hybrid Connectivity has more than 25 years of experience supporting major connectivity programmes for organisations including Network Rail, Siemens, Alstom, Atkins and Boldyn. Relevant work includes Project REACH, the London Underground 4G and 5G programme, the Sofia Offshore Wind Farm and bespoke fibre enclosures for the UK nuclear sector.
We supply rail and telecommunications organisations, network operators, principal contractors, data centre delivery partners, utilities, offshore contractors, systems integrators and engineering consultancies throughout the UK.
Products including rail drop cables, external GCO2 closures and offshore connectivity enclosures are designed for demanding external applications. Other products are intended for indoor cabinets, communications rooms or data centres. Environmental rating, fire performance, connector type, bend radius and installation method must therefore be checked for each application.
