It began in 1999, when Chris Fay and Bernard McCabe founded Passcomm Ltd in Warrington. Over the years, the business earned a strong reputation for high-quality, value-add integration.
In 2022, the Board of Directors — including David Waine and Stuart Read — sold the business to what would become Netceed. Then, in 2024, as Netceed stepped away from the value-add markets Passcomm had long served, an opportunity emerged.
That opportunity was seized by Phil McCabe, son of the late Bernard McCabe, who saw a chance to keep his father’s legacy alive and continue supporting the customers and markets Passcomm had built its name on.
In January 2025, Hybrid Connectivity Solutions was born. Stuart Read and David Waine returned as major shareholders, joining Phil McCabe to lead the business forward.
But the real story of Passcomm has always been about people. Founding Hybrid Connectivity Solutions gave the management team the chance to bring key staff back home, to continue the work they know and love.
We’re immensely proud to carry the Passcomm product line forward. The name above the door may have changed — but our customers know they’re still buying Passcomm products, from Passcomm people.
