Hybrid Connectivity was engaged to support a major UK energy provider with the kitting and supply of bespoke fibre joint enclosures for use across its telecoms network.
The client required two fibre management solutions based around CommScope GCO2 enclosures, configured to meet the specific requirements of its network architecture. Hybrid was selected for its ability to act as a CommScope integration provider, supporting the customer with tailored product configurations, clear documentation and reliable supply to contractor partners.
The project demonstrates Hybrid Connectivity’s ability to design, kit and supply bespoke fibre connectivity solutions for utilities, telecoms, enterprise and industrial environments where standard products need to be adapted to suit defined network requirements.
The client had a clear preference for CommScope GCO2 enclosures for use within its telecoms network, but required specific configurations rather than standard off-the-shelf products.
The products needed to match a defined Bill of Materials, ensuring consistency across the network and making it easier for contractor partners to purchase, deploy and install the correct solution.
For a utilities environment, document control was also important. The client needed confidence that the right enclosure variants would be clearly identified, correctly specified and repeatable across future network deployments.
The challenge was therefore not simply to supply fibre enclosures, but to create a controlled, standardised and easy-to-procure solution that could be embedded into the client’s network architecture documentation.
Hybrid Connectivity worked with the client’s requirements to create two bespoke CommScope GCO2 closure solutions for deployment by the client’s contractor partners.
Each solution was configured around the specific Bill of Materials required for the network, ensuring the products supplied aligned with the client’s technical expectations and installation requirements.
To support purchasing accuracy and document control, Hybrid created bespoke part numbers and datasheets for the two product variants. This gave the client and its contractor partners clear, consistent product references, helping to reduce the risk of incorrect products being ordered or installed.
Hybrid then supplied the configured CommScope GCO2 closures to the client’s contractor partners for use across the network.
The two bespoke fibre joint enclosure products were accepted by the client and built into its network architecture documentation for future use.
This gave the client a standardised approach to fibre joint enclosure supply, with clearly defined products, controlled documentation and consistent specifications for contractor partners.
By creating bespoke part numbers and datasheets, Hybrid helped simplify procurement, improve installation consistency and support long-term repeatability across the network.
This project demonstrates Hybrid Connectivity’s role as a specialist fibre connectivity integration partner for the utilities market.
By combining CommScope product knowledge with kitting, documentation and supply-chain support, Hybrid delivered two bespoke fibre joint enclosure solutions aligned to the client’s network requirements.
The result was a controlled, repeatable and contractor-ready product set that could be adopted within the client’s network architecture and used across future deployments.
